Submission Information
This document contains submission information for the
SIGACT
TCS genealogy:
Any questions or comments can be directed to
Ian Parberry.
Updates can be emailed to
pedigree@sigact.acm.org
(where they will be electronically logged).
If you are using a browser that supports forms,
you can submit your update via the World-Wide Web using
an on-line form instead.
The information that we need for each entry is:
- the student's name
- the thesis adviser's name (list multiple advisers where appropriate)
- the university granting the doctorate (in the case of countries in
which doctoral degrees are granted by a central agency, list the
university at which the doctoral studies were undertaken)
- the year the doctorate was awarded
Your assistance is requested in filling in the entries marked "?".
Please make it clear whether you are submitting a new entry, a correction,
or an addition to an old entry.
If you are providing your update by email,
please provide the data in the form of a string
"Student@Adviser@University@Year".
Qualifications for entry are that the person must have made a contribution
of some kind to theoretical computer science, loosely defined as at least
one of the following:
- an article published in a refereed theoretical computer science journal,
- a paper in a leading theoretical computer science conference,
- regular attendance at a leading theoretical computer science conference,
- being sufficiently famous that most readers
will recognize you, or
- an ancestor of an existing entry.
Students should wait until their degrees are
granted before submitting an entry.
